Board of Education Candidate Forum — March 12, 2026

The Better Maryland Schools candidate forum will be held on March 12, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the C. Burr Artz public library.

Better Maryland Schools will hold an open candidate forum and a public evaluation process for this year’s school board elections—giving voters a clear, public record for evaluating candidates. The forum will be open to the public, press, and all qualified candidates.

In addition to the forum, every participating candidate will answer the same 12 written questions, in the same format, on the same core issues, including academic performance, budget discipline, transparency, long-term planning, parental rights, and the role of parents in their children’s education. Their full, unedited responses will be published for the public to review.

In addition, Better Maryland Schools will publish an issue-by-issue analysis of each candidate’s responses, voting records where applicable, and stated policy positions—using a consistent framework focused on student outcomes, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and family engagement.
